Two more human H7N9 cases in Guangdong

Xinhua, January 23, 2015 Adjust font size:

South China's Guangdong Province reported another two human cases of H7N9 avian flu, local authorities said Friday.

A 68-year-old man from Shantou City is in a hospital in a critical condition, the provincial health and family planning commission said in a statement. A 1-year-old boy from Zhaoqing City is also in a local hospital, but his condition is stable.

The health authorities warn that people are most at risk from bird flu during winter and spring.

In addition to Guangdong, Shanghai Municipality and Fujian and Zhejiang provinces have all reported human cases of H7N9 this winter. Endi
