Hostage-taker in west Paris surrenders to police

Xinhua, January 16, 2015 Adjust font size:

The armed man who took two hostages at noon time on Friday in a post office at Colombes in the west of Paris has surrendered to the police, local medias reported.

The hostages were released and no one was wounded, according to the news channel BFMTV.

The new hostage taking came after an Islamist gunman killed four hostages at a Jewish supermarket last Friday two days after two brothers shot dead 12 people in an attack on the satirical paper Charlie Hebdo two days earlier. Enditem
