Xinhua, January 16, 2015 Adjust font size:

Military personnel from China and the United States started a joint humanitarian assistance and disaster relief drill on Friday in the southern city of Haikou.

A total of 139 personnel from the People's Liberation Army (PLA) and its U.S. counterpart conducted a tabletop exercise as well as practical field exchange, during which they simulated how to respond in the case of a strong typhoon in a fictional third country.

The two countries also conducted other exchange activities. Endi
