Vietnam to offer WiFi service on flights from May

Xinhua, January 16, 2015 Adjust font size:

Vietnam's national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines (VNA) will offer WiFi service on its domestic and international flights from May this year, local media quoted source from a VNA official on Friday.

"As scheduled, we are testing to offer WiFi services on our flights from May on," Pham Ngoc Minh, general director of VNA was quoted by local VTC News online newspaper.

According to the official, technical requirements are ready to test WiFi covering on VNA flights.

Once the test is successful, the carrier will bring the service to all of its flights. "At first, VNA will offer the service on its A350 and Boeing 787 aircrafts," said Minh.

The VNA representative said the WiFi on international routes will be charged from 15 to 20 U.S. dollars while that for domestic routes "can be free," reported VTC News. Endi
