Madagascar's prime minister resigns

Madagascar's Prime Minister Kolo Roger resigned, a statement from the presidency said Tuesday.

President Hery Rajaonarimampianina received late Monday the resignation letter of the prime minister and his government had accepted it, the statement said.

Until the creation of the new government, the resigning government members will continue their daily tasks, the statement continued.

The government led by Kolo Roger worked for eight months. It consists of 30 ministers and one Secretary of State. They include six women and 25 men, among whom three militaries and one policeman. Seven of them had positions in former transitional government. Endi
