Vietnam's Ministry of Health confirmed three more A/H1N1 flu cases, raising the country's tally to 262, local newspaper the New Hanoi reported on Friday.

All the three newly confirmed cases are in the southern provinces of the country, said the ministry.

So far, 221 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals. The rest are being treated in hospital, all in stable condition.

According to the heath ministry, the country has not found any case of A/H1N1 virus mutation resistant to Tamiflu. But to prepare for this case, the ministry has reserved Relenza medicine which can also be used to treat A/H1N1 influenza.

Vietnam has reported no death in connection with the disease.
