Nine more people in Fiji have confirmed contracting the A/H1N1 virus on Wednesday, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 36.
Fiji Ministry of Health media liaison officer, Iliesa Tora, said the newly confirmed cases came from a batch of 15 samples that were tested at the Mataika House Laboratory in Tamavua, Suva .
Tora said getting people together in big public events could be risky, especially in areas recording high numbers.
Public health people are monitoring the situation in Fiji.
If the Task Force gets evidence that there might be a risk in holding public gatherings in some of the centers, then they will off course advise for the event to be canceled or postponed.
The Task Force met in Suva on Wednesday.
