The number of influenza A/H1N1 confirmed cases stood at 10 in Fiji on Monday, the Ministry of Health said.

Among the 10 cases, one from Suva, one from Lautoka and eight from Nadi.

All had travel history except for the patient from Lautoka.

Three of the 10 cases were confirmed on Friday night.

"We have now received samples from all three divisions in Fiji and most of the samples are coming from the Nadi area," said Iliesa Tora, Ministry of Health spokesman.

The Ministry of Education in Fiji has also been warned that children are at high risk of complication or severe form of the disease, for example, pneumonia.

All the 22 patients whose tests were taken on Friday and Saturday have been cleared.

Amongst those tested were a six-month-old baby admitted for fever and cough.
