The prediction was announced after the center responding to the public health crisis under the Public Health Ministry held a meeting concerning the deadly new virus on Thursday morning, said Witthaya Kaewparadai, Minister of Public Health.
Hence, a history among Thais returning from abroad, especially with having a fever, will be much more focused on by medical staff at the country's international airports and borders, said Witthaya.
Also, the meeting resolved to increase a number of medical staff at the disease control department of Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport to almost 100 from the current 60 persons a day, said Witthaya.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organization announced its adjusted world rank for Thailand as the country with having had the confirmed A/H1N1 flu patients, from the previous 31st to 33rd, said Public Health deputy permanent secretary Dr. Paijit Warachit.
