PM: Thai Gov't Confident to Control Deadly A/H1N1 Flu Outbreak

Thailand's Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said on Tuesday he is confident that the country can control the A/H1N1 flu outbreak.
Thailand is well prepared to eradicate the deadly new virus -- the A/H1N1 flu, said Abhisit.
Meanwhile, the government had not covered up any information concerning the country's first two confirmed A/H1N1 flu patients, said Abhisit, adding his government will continue closely monitoring the A/H1N1 flu outbreak in the country.
Earlier Tuesday the Thai Public Health Ministry said the country had first two A/H1N1 flu cases.
However, the two patients have already recovered and will not spread the deadly flu disease to others. The two persons had just returned from Mexico, said the Health Ministry.
In a related development, Abhisit said though Thailand will host the world's youth weightlifting competition during May 14-29,the country will be able to contain the deadly disease.
It is estimated that over 1,000 foreign visitors, including the sport men and related staff will travel to Thailand for the weightlifting competition.
