French shares drop 0.55 pct on Thursday

PARIS, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.55 percent, or 29.42 points, to close at 5,339.42 points.

Of the 40 selected large companies, 33 lost in the day.

European aeronautic giant Airbus was down 1.57 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French aeronautic giant Safran lost 1.47 percent, and French multinational luxury group LVMH lost 1.41 percent.

French hotel group Accor rose 1.59 percent, and French international retailer Carrefour gained 1.52 percent. Capgemini, a global leader in consulting, technology and outsourcing services, was up 0.13 percent. Enditem
