German shares lose 0.69 pct Thursday

FRANKFURT, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 90.08 points, or 0.69 percent, to close at 12,979.94 points.

German multinational software corporation SAP lost the most among the blue chips, down by 1.12 percent, followed by chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer and telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom, which lost 1.06 percent and 0.96 percent respectively.

German multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement, housing association Vonovia and chemical and consumer goods company Henkel were the top three winners, rising 1.69 percent, 0.41 percent and 0.37 percent respectively.

German insurance and financial services company Allianz was the most traded share of the day, with a turnover of 144 million euros (171.28 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
