Man charged with sexual abuse after three decades in Hong Kong

HONG KONG, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- A man charged after a woman claimed she was sexually assaulted by him over 30 years ago appeared in a Hong Kong court on Tuesday.

The man was charged with five counts of indecent assault after the woman claimed that she fell victim while attending a school for the visually impaired more than 30 years ago, local radio RTHK reported.

The alleged offences took place when she was between seven and 11 years old.

The defendant, a former head of a care home for the mentally disabled, was freed on bail until the case's next mention in Eastern Court on Dec. 29. Enditem
