Shandong extends embarrassing no win record against Xinjiang

XI'AN, China, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Ding Yanyuhang missed the final three-pointer shot before the whistle, making Shandong team encounter a 111-114 defeat in Xinjiang in the 12th round of 17-18 Chinese Basketball Association league (CBA) on Tuesday.

Shandong never win over Xinjiang in Urumqi city, now the embarrassing record extends to 21 games.

The defending champion was trailing 79-82 at the beginning of the last quarter, but Li Gen led his team to turn the table and forced the opponents Jia Cheng and Ty Lawson to foul out. Ding, the Chinese MVP of last CBA' s regular season, had chance to score the equalizer in the last 11.4 seconds, but he failed.
