Spanish stock market falls 1.79 pct, closes at 10,786 points

Spain's benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 fell 1.79 percent on Wednesday to close at 10,786.10 points, down from the 10,982.40 points of Tuesday.

On Wednesday session, Bankia shares led falls losing 4.26 percent, followed by Banco Popular, Caixabank, Banco Sabadell, Banco Santander and ArcelorMittal that lost 4.16 percent, 3.90 percent, 3.45 percent, 2.89 percent and 2.83 percent respectively.

On the other hand, only Abertis A shares led rises climbing 0.06 percent.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 119 points, from the 120 points of Tuesday closing time, and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.59 percent from the 1.63 percent of Tuesday. Endit
