NEW DELHI -- Over 80 schoolgirls in northern Indian state of Haryana, who were on indefinite strike against alleged sexual harassment that they faced at the hands of rowdies on way to school, called off their strike Wednesday after local government accepted their demands.

JAKARTA -- Senior officials of Chinese firm China Great Wall Industry Corporation (CGWIC) and Indonesian firm Palapa Satelit Nusa Sejahtera (PSNS) Wednesday signed a purchase contract for the latter's satellite system, namely PALAPA-N1, scheduled to orbit in first half of 2020.

TOKYO -- Japan and New Zealand pledged on Wednesday to carry forward the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade pact despite the withdrawal of the United States.
