French shares drop 0.21 pct Tuesday

French shares lost on Tuesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.21 percent, or 11.30 points, to close at 5,406.10 points.

The global leader in oil and gas projects Technip FMC tumbled 1.77 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French multinational automotive supplier Valeo and European IT services corporation Atos were down 1.36 percent and 1.23 percent respectively.

French multinational hotel group Accor rose 2.38 percent, the top gainer of the day. French multinational electric utility company Engie S.A. gained 2.31 percent, while French retail giant Carrefour was up 1.77 percent. Enditem
