(BRF) China willing to deepen all-round cooperation with UN

China's State Councilor Yang Jiechi said Monday that China supports UN role in global governance and is willing to increase cooperation with the UN in all areas.

Yang made the remarks when meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.

Yang praised UN support for and participation in the Belt and Road Initiative and the forum. China is ready to enhance cooperation with the UN to make greater contributions to world peace and development.

Guterres congratulated China on the successful forum, highlighting the far-reaching significance of the Belt and Road Initiative and its synergy with the UN 2030 sustainable development agenda.

The UN is willing to work with China on the Belt and Road Initiative and appreciates China's adherence to multilateralism, Guterres said. Endi
