Singapore stocks close 0.48 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 15.82 points, or 0.48 percent, to close at 3,255.29.

A total of 2.18 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.44 billion Singapore dollars (1.02 billion U.S. dollars). Decliners outnumbered gainers 307 to 168.

The STI index gained 21.14 points, or 0.65 percent, to close at 3,271.11 on Thursday. Endit
