The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Wednesday.

-- Ethiopian Foreign Minister Workneh Gebeyehu on Tuesday met with Jean Asselborn, Luxembourg's Foreign Minister here and discussed how the sustainable and sound relationship between Ethiopia and Luxembourg could further be nurtured.

Workneh noted the strategic engagement between Ethiopia and the European Union in general and the growing level of a broad spectrum of economic partnership between Ethiopia and Luxembourg in particular. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)

-- The 2017 World Hydropower Congress will take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from May 9-11, under the theme "how to do 'better hydro' in a changing world."

-- Ethiopia has shown remarkable improvements in health sector than any other Sub-Saharan countries over the past decade, Chinese Medical Team said.

Senior member of a Chinese Medical Team and author a book entitled "My Ten years in Africa", Dr. Wu Minxian, told ENA that Ethiopia is expanding health service delivery and infrastructures so as to make health services more accessible.

Dr. Wu, who served for 10 years as member of Chinese Medical Assistance Team in Ethiopia, Zambia and Eritrea, noted that the country has made significant health gains in lowering infant mortality, malaria prevention and curbing HIV/AIDS among others over the decade.
