UAE citizen sentenced to 10 years in prison for joining IS

The federal supreme court in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) sentenced on Monday a UAE citizen to 10 years in prison for joining the Islamic State terrorist organization, state news agency WAM reported.

The court also put the 21-year-old convict on the observation list.

The young citizen was sentenced to only one year in prison before, a verdict challenged by the State Security Prosecutor who referred the case to the federal court. Endit
