Obama to meet Merkel in Berlin next month

Former U.S. President Barack Obama will meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin next month at a religious conference, local media Zeit Online reported on Wednesday.

They will meet at the historic Brandenburg Gate, according to the organizers. The two figures will take part in a discussion event, covering topics like "democracy" as well as "local and global responsibilities."

Obama's successor Donald Trump is expected to visit Germany in July when Germany hosts the G20 summit in Hamburg. Endit
