Young faces at the annual NPC session

Luo Gaji, born in July 1987, is a deputy to the 12th National People's Congress (NPC). He comes from a Tibetan family in Aba, Sichuan Province. In his opinion, a new generation of officers and soldiers should broaden their vision by having a good command of military skills, scientific and cultural knowledge, and at least one foreign language. His proposals also cover practical issues facing officers and soldiers who are in service, such as their family members' employment, children's education and medicare.
