The quarterly economic growth in the eurozone in the fourth quarter (Q4) 2016 was slightly revised down to 0.4 percent from a preliminary estimate of 0.5 percent released two weeks ago, official data showed on Tuesday.
The European Union (EU)'s statistics agency, Eurostat, also revised down its estimate of the year-on-year Q4 gross domestic product (GDP) to 1.7 percent from 1.8 percent of the previous estimate.
The revision was partly due to a large fall in industry production in December 2016, which fell by 1.6 percent month-on-month.
The data still meant that the 19-country eurozone economy grew by 1.7 percent last year and the 28-member EU economy as a whole grew by 1.8 percent in 2016. Endit
