Huawei Spain certified as Top Employer for 2017

Xinhua, February 10, 2017 Adjust font size:

Chinese telecommunications Huawei Spain has been named as one of the top employers 2017 by the Top Employers Institute, a global certification company recognizing excellence in the conditions that employers create for their people.

Huawei Spain confirmed the news on Thursday that it was among 81 companies in Spain to receive this recognition on Wednesday, joining a list of employers such as Banco Santander, Repsol, and consultancy firm KPMG.

It is the first time Huawei Spain has been recognized by the award, which was given as a result of the company's efforts to "attract and develop talent and the advantageous conditions it gives its workers in areas such as: strategy, planning of the workforce, on-boarding, training and development, leadership development, career management, compensation, benefits and culture."

The Top Employers Institute evaluates a total of 585 "good practices" when making its judgements and, on a global level, Huawei Spain was one of 1,200 companies around the world to make the list.

"This is a confirmation for Huawei that what we are doing in terms of talent is going in the right direction. Certificates such as Top Employers motivate us to continue developing actions, such as our recent strategy for attracting and developing young talent called 'Choices and Steps' and our new technology training programs, 'Leading in the LTE era'," commented Maria Luisa Melo, director of institutional relations and communication for Huawei Spain.
