The Following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Monday.

-- Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome Wirtu will pay a five-day official visit to Turkey starting Monday.

President Mulatu will meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. During his visit, the talks will focus on bilateral relations and regional and international issues as well as the signing of various agreements between the two countries, the statement added. -- Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn said the government is committed to sustain infrastructure development endeavors underway in the State of Amhara.

-- The Omo Kuraz II Sugar Factory is expected to start trial production after a month, according to the Ethiopian Sugar Corporation.
