The following are news highlights in Kenyan media outlets on Saturday.

-- Nine Kenya Defence Forces soldiers were on Friday killed in an intense battle with militant group Al-Shabaab in a dawn attack on their camp in Somalia. The terrorists struck at Kolbiyow camp, some 18km from the Kenya-Somalia border in an attack that was similar to another at El-Adde camp in January last year. (Standard on Saturday)

-- Opposition leader Raila Odinga accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of failing to fight corruption, engaging in excessive borrowing and using government officials, including local administrators, to plot to rig August polls.
