British FTSE 100 rises 0.17 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday rose by 0.17 percent, or 11.85 points, to 7,189.74 points.

Share price of Taylor Wimpey increased by 5.15 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Barratt Developments, Fresnillo, BT Group and Shire increased by 4.65 percent, 3.79 percent, 3.72 percent and 3.14 percent, respectively.

Next led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 18.02 percent, following by Marks & Spencer Group (7.60 percent), Associated British Foods (4.92 percent), Dixons Carphone (2.64 percent) and ITV (2.42 percent). Endit
