Port of Tallinn reports record number of passenger trips

Port of Tallinn, capital of Estonia, handled a record number of passenger trips this year, the port authority has said in a statement.

The port received this year's 10 millionth passenger on Tuesday, two percent higher than last year's total passenger trips of 9.79 million, it said.

Most passengers were served at Old City Harbor, where the most popular ferry line is the Tallinn-Helsinki, which recorded about 8.4 million passenger trips annually.

Port of Tallinn's passenger number has been increasing in the past several years. It handled 9 million passenger trips in 2013. Endit
