Xinhua, December 29, 2016 Adjust font size:

Albania's exports rose 17.4 percent year on year last month to 23 billion Albanian Leks (178.8 million U.S. dollars), official data revealed on Wednesday.

On a monthly basis, the Albanian exports grew by 5.4 percent in November, according to data released by Albania's institute of statistics (INSTAT).

Imports edged up by 0.6 percent year on year from a year ago. November's imports, however, dropped 1 percent from that of the previous month.

November's trade deficit stood at 26 billion Leks, down by 10.5 percent year on year from a year earlier and by 6 percent from that of the previous month.

The 17.4-percent jump in November's exports was mainly driven by more exports of minerals, fuels, electricity and textile. Endit
