Bulgaria receives more foreign tourists

Xinhua, December 29, 2016 Adjust font size:

The number of foreign tourists to Bulgaria reported a substantial increase, Bulgarian Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova said Wednesday.

Foreign tourists to Bulgaria rose 16 percent year on year in the first 11 months to 7.85 million, according to the minister.

The revenues for the first ten months amounted to 5.9 billion Bulgarian Lev (3 billion U.S. dollars), up 15 percent year on year from a year ago, she said.

Such growth was unseen since 1990, when Bulgaria began to record the tourist figure, she said. Endit
