The U.S. dollar climbed against most major currencies on Tuesday after Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen's positive remarks about the labor market bolstered investors' speculation for a faster pace of rate-hikes next year than expected.

In late New York trading, the euro fell to 1.0392 dollars from 1.0405 dollars, while the dollar bought 117.71 Japanese yen, higher than 117.36 yen in the previous session. Enditem
