Bomb threat at Cologne railway station might be false alarm: report

The police evacuated Cologne central railway station on Tuesday evening due to a reported bomb threat.

However, as of around 7 p.m.local time, the bomb alarm as well as blockade was lifted, after the police had not found suspicious item in the station and nearby. local media WDR reported via twitter.

The bomb threat had been reported by telephone, before police sent out forces to the scene, blocking and clearing the railway station, said a police spokesman.

The likely false alarm has resulted in a number of train delays.
