China treasury bond futures close lower Thursday

China's treasury bond futures closed lower on Thursday, with the contract for settlement in March 2017 closed 1.16 percent lower at 97.595 yuan (about 14 U.S. dollars).
The June 2017 contract closed 1.196 percent lower at 97.11 yuan. The September 2017 contract closed 1.077 percent lower at 96.87 yuan.
The contracts are agreements to buy or sell treasury bonds at a predetermined price and set date. They allow investors to bet on and profit from the movements in the value of the bonds.
