A crew of Su-34 fighter bomber carried out flight tactic tasks in Russia's Far Eastern region of Khabarovsk, a military officer said on Thursday.

"Crews of multipurpose Su-34 fighter-bombers of the Eastern Military District's air force unit located in Khabarovsk have carried out flight tactic bombings at one of the district's training grounds," RIA Novosti said on Thursday, citing the head of the Eastern Military District press service Col. Alexander Gordeyev.

During the tactical exercise, the newest Su-34 fighter bombers finished aeronavigation activities and hit group targets in horizontal position.

The final batch of Su-34 is going through an acceptance procedure at Novosibirsk's factory, and the fighter jets will attend the Eastern Military District's air unit by the end of 2016, Gordeyev said.

The Sukhoi Su-34 fighter bomber is designed to hit ground targets as well as naval ones. It is capable of engaging even small mobile targets and aerial targets in daytime and at night, under favorable and adverse weather conditions. Endi
