Spanish stock market falls 1.21 pct, closes at 9,218 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 fell 1.21 percent on Wednesday to close at 9,218.40, down from the 9,331.30 points of Tuesday.

On Wednesday session, Caixabank led falls losing 4.37 percent, followed by Inditex, IAG, Mapfre, Bankinter and BBVA that lost 3 percent, 2.82 percent, 2.68 percent, 1.63 percent and 1.55 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Mediaset shares led rises climbing 2.24 percent, followed by ArcelorMittal, Acerinox, Indra A, DIA and Melia Hotels that rose 1.35 percent, 1.12 percent, 0.55 percent, 0.46 percent and 0.33 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 111 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.45 percent. Endit
