Japan's "Your Name" tops Chinese box office for second week

Japanese animation "Your Name" ruled the Chinese box office in the week ending Dec. 11, earning 205 million yuan (29.7 million U.S. dollars), China Film News reported Tuesday.

The romance has seized top place in ticket sales for two weeks in a row, grossing 491 million yuan since its release on Dec. 2.

Mel Gibson's war film "Hacksaw Ridge" debuted on Dec. 8 to become another hit during the week. It landed in second place with sales revenue of 117 million yuan.

"Immaturity of Twenty-Eight," a domestic comedy, placed third in the week, taking in 72 million yuan since its release on Dec. 9.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" from Warner Bros. ranked fourth during the week, earning 69 million yuan. Its total revenue has hit 569 million yuan since it debuted on Nov. 25.

Rounding out the top five was 21st Century Fox's fantasy film "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children," which took 41 million in the week. Endi
