A special envoy of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) on Ukraine said here on Wednesday the negotiators agreed to work out a decision regarding water supplies in Donbass.
Martin Sajdik, special envoy in the Trilateral Contact Group on settlement of the situation in eastern Ukraine, told journalists that it was necessary to find legal and technical decisions regarding water supply there.
The Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine is a group of representatives from Ukraine, the Russian Federation and the OECD that was formed as means to facilitate a diplomatic resolution to the war in the Donbass region of Ukraine.
The security subgroup focused on the issues of disengaging forces and hardware from the contact line in Donbass, Sajdik said.
The humanitarian subgroup continued the discussion on the issue of releasing prisoners, he said.
The political subgroup focused on the discussion of the so-called "Steinmeier formula", special status of the territories controlled by the separatists, Sajdik added.
The OSCE special envoy also noted that the contact group would meet for the next time in Minsk on December 21 to further discuss the situation in Donbass. Endit
