The Hermitage Museum celebrates 252-year anniversary with a 3D-projection show

The "Mystery of Light" 3D-projection show was staged in St. Petersburg on Wednesday to celebrate the State Hermitage Museum's 252-year anniversary.

The show started at 18 p.m. localime (15 p.m. GMT)at the Palace Square. In addition, everyone could visit the Hermitage Museum for free.

December 7 is the State Mermitage Day, also the Day of St. Catherine. The year of the Hermitage foundation is considered to be 1764, when the Russian Empress Catherine II purchased a collection of paintings from Berlin merchant Ernst Gotzkowsky.

The State Hermitage Museum is a museum of art and culture in St. Petersburg, and one of the largest and oldest museums in the world. Endit
