Spain's car sales rise by 13.5 pct year-on-year in Nov.

The number of cars sold in Spain reached 92,653, up 13.5 percent when compared with the same month of a year earlier, according to data released on Thursday.

The figure was the best for the month since 2007, according to the Association of Car Manufacturers, the Federation of Association of Dealers of the Automotive sector and the Association of Car Dealers. After 2007, Spain's car sales were affected by the financial crisis.

Purchases made by individuals rose by 3.9 percent to reach 54,904 units. Companies purchased 30,733 cars, registering a 28.6 percent rise on a year-on-year basis, and renting companies bought 7,016 cars, up by 42.9 percent year-on-year.

In the first 11 months of the year, 1,050,121 cars were sold, up 11.1 percent when compared with the same period of a year earlier.

The number of cars purchased by individuals rose by 7.3 percent from January to November on a year-on-year basis to reach 556,030. Companies bought 297,977 cars, which meant a 15.4 percent rise year-on-year, and renting companies purchased 196,114 cars, up 15.9 percent year-on-year.

According to the organizations, almost 8 million vehicles in Spain have been used for more than 15 years. Endit
