U.S. stocks closed mixed Wednesday, as investors eyed a sharp rally in oil prices amid a batch of economic reports.

The Dow edged up 0.01 percent, and the S&P 500 fell 0.27 percent, while the Nasdaq dipped 1.05 percent. Endit
