Top news items in major Ethiopian media outlets

The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Tuesday.

-- Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome said Ethiopia is committed to preserve tangible and intangible heritages based on existing laws regarding the issue.

He also said Ethiopia is working various activities to preserve the culture, languages and religions of the peoples of Ethiopia. (Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation/EBC)

-- The Productive Safety Net Programs implemented during the past years have built Ethiopia's capacity in coping with drought, according to the Ethiopian Ministry of Farming and Natural Resources.

The Ministry, in partnership with federal agencies and donors, is reviewing the implementation of the concluded third phase of the program. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)

-- Sri Lanka has established a resident mission that will help to broaden political, trade and economic relations with Ethiopia and forge closer relations with the African Union, Colombo Page reported.
