Singapore stocks close 0.14 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 4.03 points or 0.14 percent to close at 2,843.72.

A total of 1.33 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.23 billion Singapore dollars (858.3 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 237 to 179, while 669 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 17.49 points or 0.62 percent to close at 2,839.69 on Wednesday. Enditem
