Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said here Saturday that his country follows an independent foreign policy and is willing to be friends with "brotherly" China forever.

During a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the 2016 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting, he said the Philippines stands ready to enhance bilateral cooperation and coordination with China in various fields. Endi
