Authorities in Zambia have arrested a Tanzania national for trying to smuggle heroin in the country hidden in his rectum, a senior official from the country's anti-drug agency said on Tuesday.

Theresa Katongo, the public relations officer at the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC), said the 29-year-old Tanzanian was arrested in northern Zambia's Nakonde district for trafficking in 17 sachets of heroin.
