Military partnership with U.S. reinforced to achieve regional security: Saudi official

Xinhua, November 15, 2016 Adjust font size:

Saudi Deputy Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, asserted on Tuesday the reinforcement of the military partnership with the United States to achieve the stability of Gulf countries, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

He stressed the military partnership while chairing the 15th session of the Joint Defense Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States in Riyadh.

He also pointed out the results of the 2015 Camp David meeting between Gulf countries and the U.S. in order to promote military and security strategic partnership to ensure regional stability.

Additionally, he emphasized the importance of military and defense coordination between GCC countries in the face of future challenges.

The Deputy Crown Prince's remarks come as the U.S. is developing its new international strategy after electing Donald Trump as its new president.

Saudi Arabia also assured on Monday that its investments in the U.S. won't change because of the newly elected president. Endit
