Luxembourg's Prime Minister Xavier Bettel met Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong Tuesday, reaffirming warm bilateral relations between the two countries and discussing regional and international developments.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said on Tuesday that the leaders witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Singapore's National Research Foundation and Luxembourg's National Research Fund to foster science and innovation collaborations through funding for joint projects.

During his visit in the city state, Bettel delivered a speech titled "Political Leadership in the Digital Age" at Singapore Management University, and also visited one-north, where he was hosted to a tour of FusionWorld by the Agency of Science, Technology and Research.

MFA revealed that Bettel was also briefed on Singapore's vision for autonomous vehicles by the Ministry of Transport, and took a test drive in an autonomous automated vehicle.

Bettel made a working visit to Singapore from Monday to Tuesday, returning to Luxembourg Tuesday night, said the ministry. Endit
