Xinhua, November 9, 2016 Adjust font size:

A total of 780 newly graduated personnel of Afghan Special Force after completion of a 16-week training course and receiving certificates commissioned to the National Army on Wednesday.

"The newly graduated personnel mostly in the rank of lieutenants would be deployed elsewhere in the country from now on wherever there presence is needed," commander of Special Force Unit, Bismillah Waziri said in his speech at the certificate distribution ceremony.

Personnel of Special Force Unit, according to the official, have played significant role in the war on terror and defeating insurgents elsewhere in Afghanistan.

Afghan government with having more than 350,000 strong national security forces including army and police has been fighting the increasing insurgency involving hardliner Taliban and the Islamic State outfit to stabilize peace and security in the conflict-ridden Afghanistan. Enditem
