British FTSE 100 decreases 1.43 pct on Friday

The FTSE 100 Index, Britain's benchmark stock market gauge, decreased by 1.43 percent, or 97.25 points, to 6,693.26 points on Friday.

The share price of Paddy Power Betfair increased by 4.14 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce Holdings, SSE and United Utilities Group increased by 0.84 percent, 0.71 percent, 0.51 percent and 0.16 percent respectively.

Hikma Pharmaceuticals led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 6.82 percent, following by Dixons Carphone (5.21 percent), Persimmon (4.61 percent), Royal Bank of Scotland Group (4.59 percent) and Fresnillo (4.58 percent). Endit
