Macedonian exports rise by 6.1 pct in first nine months: statistics

The total value of exported goods from Macedonia amounted to around 3.5 billion U.S. dollars in the period of January-September 2016, marking a 6.1 percent increase compared to the same period last year, the state statistical office said here Friday.

Meanwhile, the value of imported goods in the same period was around 4.9 billion U.S. dollars or 6.4 percent more than the same period last year, data showed.

According to the statistical office, the most important trade partners of Macedonia during first nine months were Germany, Britain, Serbia, Greece and Bulgaria.

Meanwhile, the growth of Made in Macedonia exports was mainly driven by precious metal or precious metal compounds while imports were driven by platinum, platinum alloys and petroleum oil. Enditem
